DARK HORSE FILMS

Dark Horse Films is a film production company based in Sydney. Our focus is on creating feature films, particularly in the thriller, horror, and lo-fi sc-fi genres, as well as incredible true life story documentaries.  We are developing high concept stories, while keeping the budgets within our reach. To achieve this, the initial projects will be prioritised for those which can convey their fascinating premises with the minimum number of characters, locations, and special fx.

 

To produce the highest possible quality of films, we are rigorously applying those high standards to each stage of production, from choosing the best source material, through development and pre-prodcution, only attaching those people passionate about what they bring to the film, through to post production, and incorporating the ever changing range of new distribution platforms. This is why we have chosen the multi-award winning thriller novel Dark Horse for our first project, and named the production company after it.
